聖公信众“做十六岁”习俗在民间至今仍保留给孩子“做十六岁生日”的习俗，这源自“廣澤尊王是孩子的守护神”之说法。在中国太王陵威镇庙，常常有这样的场景，许多乡民用红布袋装着供品，到太王陵威镇庙谢鸡酒饭，庆生孩子平安长大。孩子十六岁生日时，也会到太王陵威镇庙答谢广泽尊王，祭拜聖王公墓。有的还会牵着一头羊去祭谒封茔，以答谢郭聖王多年的保佑。

廣澤尊王大孝成神—新加坡聖公文化为宣扬孝道，特备举办成人礼。借此机会让广大信众答谢神明的庇佑，也让孩子们为父母亲敬茶与献上感恩语。青少年对父母和长辈表达感恩之情，象征开启成人应有的思想及价值观，从中明白在成长过程中所应负的责任.

The Tradition Coming of Age has been practiced by Devotees of 廣澤尊王 and is celebrated when the child turns 16. 廣澤尊王 is believed to be the child protectors. In China太王陵威镇庙, when a child is born, devotees will prepare ” Rice with Chicken and wine” wrapped with red cloth as thanks giving to 廣澤尊王as well as prayers for the child to grow up healthily. When the child turns 16, devotees will return to pay gratitute to 廣澤尊王 for protecting the child. At times, devotees will sacrifice a goat in repay of kindness.

廣澤尊王 has attained deity status due to his filial piety. In line with 聖公 virtue of Filial Piety, Singapore Sheng Gong Inheritance Committee organized a Coming-of-Age Ceremony for devotees to offer thanksgiving to聖公. This also serve as an occasion for the child to show gratitude to their parents. The child will offer tea to their elderly and present a thank you card. With this we aspire the child to take on the responsibilities of growing up.
